Tennis Star Draws Attention to Sjogren’s Syndrome

When tennis star Venus Williams departed the 2011 US Open recently, she created a media whirlwind of information regarding her newly diagnosed condition – Sjogren's Syndrome.  Sjogren's (pronounced show-grins) is a chronic autoimmune disease, and its symptoms can mimic those of many other conditions, including Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis.  For more information on Venus' condition, watch and read about an interview with Good Morning America.
